A recognisable brand. With AI, too.
Here, brand AI means the deliberate use of artificial intelligence guided by brand strategy. This guide helps turn a tool into a clear and accountable way of working.
Brand management with generative AI.
What makes a brand AI-ready?
A brand is prepared for AI applications when its positioning, offerings, facts, tone and design principles are clearly documented. Useful examples and clear counterexamples belong in that foundation. A language model does not replace those decisions.
How does the brand stay consistent?
Start with approved sources: product information, brand principles, language rules and visual guidance. Define permitted claims, reviewers and rejection criteria for each use case. A test set of real tasks shows whether the rules hold up in practice.
Check: Would two employees using the same sources reach substantively comparable results? If not, clear guidance or examples may be missing.
Agents in marketing and customer experience.
How is an agent different from a text tool?
An agent can connect several steps and tools within defined permissions. This raises requirements for access control, traceability, error handling and human approval. A useful pilot is bounded and allows a person to take over.
Where does a credible use case start?
With a recurring task that has known inputs and a testable outcome: for example, structuring approved product information for a content draft. That does not automatically authorise publication or binding customer decisions.
How does this change the customer journey?
An assistant can make information easier to understand and prepare handovers. The brand remains responsible for the whole experience: what happens after an incorrect answer, when does a person take over, and how does the customer reach the right contact?

Understanding SEO, GEO and AEO.
SEO concerns discoverability in search engines. GEO and AEO are terms used for making content understandable to generative search and answer systems. They are not standardised quality certifications.
Established SEO fundamentals apply to Google AI Overviews and AI Mode. Google does not require special AI files or special schema for these features. Relevant pages must be indexed and eligible to appear with a snippet. Inclusion is not guaranteed. Source: Google Search Central.
How can a brand become understandable in AI answers?
Clearly describe the company, offering, locations, responsible people and references. Use stable URLs, accessible text, useful internal links and structured data that matches the visible content. Add independent evidence where available.
How do we measure visibility?
With an unchanged set of neutral questions, repeated runs and recorded platform, language and regional settings. We distinguish a brand mention, a link to the company’s website and the accuracy of the answer. Missing measurements stay open; a single appearance is not a ranking.
A worksheet for getting started.
- Which specific task should improve?
- Which brand information and data are approved?
- Which sources and people can substantiate claims?
- Who is responsible for approvals and error handling?
- Which criteria determine acceptance and further development?
